What a way to close Season 48.
On June 13, more than 2,000 audience members filled Curran Theatre for Dolly! A Pride Show, an evening packed with heart, humor, rhinestones, and unforgettable music. From "9 to 5" to "Jolene" and beyond, SFGMC paid tribute to the beloved songs and enduring spirit of Dolly Parton in a joyful Pride celebration.
The performances also marked a bittersweet milestone as outgoing CEO Chris Verdugo took his final bow with SFGMC after 10 years of visionary leadership.
“While this role has undoubtedly made me a better leader, this organization—and its ridiculously talented, gracious, loving, and supportive board, staff, and most of all its members—has made me a better human being,” Chris shared.
To honor his extraordinary contributions, San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie proclaimed June 13 as Chris Verdugo Day.
