Marcus J. Paige

Making his return to SFGMC, rising tenor, Marcus J. Paige hails from Southern California where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance from Chapman University's Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music. His versatile vocal prowess has created many opportunities in the fields of opera, recital, concert, musical theater and commercial music. During his time at the Hall-Musco Conservatory, Mr. Paige sang in numerous Opera Chapman productions, such as Le Nozze di Figaro (Basilio), and L'elisir d'amore (Nemorino).

Marcus has also had the immense opportunity of performing internationally. In 2015 he was named a winner in the Mirabel Schloß concert series competition in Salzburg, Austria. His travels later brought him to Berlin, Germany, performing the dual roles of "Tanzmeister" and "Brighella" in Richard Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos and as Monostatos in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte with the Berlin Opera Academy. These accomplishments led Marcus to the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in pursuit of his Master’s Degree.

His recent credits include "Male Chorus" in Benjamin Britten's The Rape of Lucretia at SFCM, Donizetti’s Lucrezia Borgia, Puccini’s La rondine with Pocket Opera and most recently Arthur Sullivan’s Cox & Box with Lamplighters Music Theatre. Marcus also has experience in the field of musical theater, commercial music, and voiceover work. He can be heard as the singing voice for the character Zack Underwood in Disney Channel’s animated series, “Milo Murphy’s Law”. He was recently seen as "Jamie" in Jason Robert Brown's, The Last Five Years and had the pleasure of being an original cast member in the world premiere of Andrew Lippa's, UNBREAKABLE with SGMC, now available on all streaming platforms.

Andrés Vera

Andres serves as an artist, musician, producer and a community building professional in San Francisco, California. His passion is to connect communities through music and art. Vera’s  profession began in 2006 with the Miami Symphony Orchestra. Subsequently, he earned a Master’s Degree in Music Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

His studies led to the founding of a virtuosic cello ensemble, the Cello Street Quartet. This launched him into the world of arts administration and nonprofit development. In 2015, Vera joined the Grammy nominated cross over ensemble, Quartet San Francisco, which specializes in performing cross over and non-classical music. In 2019, he served as the Advancement Associate of the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus. Additionally, he served as an Administrative Assistant at the Wiki Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to teaching students, scholars and experts how to edit Wikipedia.

In January 2020, he began a collaborative project with the composer and singer, Adam Brett Ward. They established the record label and production house, Least Common Productions. The project serves as a vessel for producing albums, music videos, and events for their work.  In addition, Andrés maintains a private music lesson studio and teaches high school students how to play stringed instruments.

Andres’ mission is to start conversations and projects that spur action in the arts, technology, and the environment. He feels passionately that every person and profession, through research and reflection, has a role in protecting our environment and building a more sustainable world.
