ROSS BUFFINGTON

Ross (he/him) is a native Californian and has spent the majority of his life in the SF Bay Area. His professional career was spent in both the financial sector and tech, specializing in operations management, human resources, and immigration processing. Ross has always had a passion for advocacy and has served on the boards of a private school specializing in learning differences as well as a national nonprofit focused on providing tools to students who learn differently.

Ross spent many years performing in local community theater and singing with various oratorio groups, something he set aside during his professional life. After retiring from his last position, he was eager to fill his time with something meaningful. That’s when he discovered the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus—finding both an outlet for his desire to perform and a community where he felt accepted and safe.

Although he has only been a member for a short time, Ross is proud to serve on the SFGMC Board, where he can help shape the future of the Chorus.
