Glenn DeSandre, M.D.

Glenn is a neonatologist and partner with The Permanente Medical Group (TPMG), practicing in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Kaiser Oakland Medical Center. He began his medical career in the public sector at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, where he spearheaded a simulation-based training program to standardize and improve outcomes for premature infants. Glenn earned his B.A. in Molecular Cell Biology from U.C. Berkeley and his M.D. from Eastern Virginia Medical School, later completing his Pediatric Residency and Neonatology Fellowship at Stanford University.

A singing member of the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus since 2013, Glenn’s deep leadership in the organization includes four years as Chair of the Board and three years as President of the Membership. He lives in San Francisco with his husband and two cats, and enjoys traveling, wine tasting, and spending time with dear friends.
