Do you appreciate music, travel, history, and social justice?

This October, the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus will kick off its 40th Season by taking our message on the road with the Lavender Pen Tour of Southern states. The SFGMC Board is inviting a small group of friends, family, and alumni to come along as our friendly front-line Entourage, literally serving as our ambassadors.

As the Entourage, we will be building bridges, reaching out, staying alert, and adding gravitas to this monumental tour. At all Tour stops, the press will be notified in advance, in a joint effort with the HRC and local social justice groups. All proceeds from the concerts will benefit local LGBT rights and service organizations. There will be many chances for conversation and invitation.

Seven days visiting six states, grand concert halls, great churches, important colleges and historic sites, with thousands of people hearing the music of the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus... You will be part of history as we go on the road to fulfill our mission: extraordinary musical experiences that inspire community, activism and compassion.

Along the way, you'll have plenty of free time to enjoy the local culture and history of the South. You'll stay in carefully selected boutique hotels, enjoy the local cuisine, and experience history both past and present as we change hearts and minds.  We have worked with a travel agency to provide an extraordinary travel experience, linking us with the Chorus by a separate deluxe coach, while allowing you other touring opportunities for this exclusive tour.
